Disintegration

A film school project. This one I kind of still like. It was truly an experiment. I had this awesome little camera from Fischer-Price, the Pixel Vision 2000. Shot super grainy, high contrast video that only filled the center 2/3 of the screen and had a black background around it. Thing letter box but all four sides.

I drove across country, shooting the video, which I think has a very etherial quality, then cut it together in a serene display of the American road.

Then I spent a day taping random stuff off of cable and quick cut it into the surrounding frame. Then I added audio channel after channel until I got to Premiere’s limit of 99 channels to create a cacophony of sound.

I’m thinking about remaking it with clips and sound bites from the next election cycle.
Weird. Silly. Disintegration.
