My iPhone decided to throw a few tracks from AC/DC’s Flick of the Switch into rotation today. Haven’t listened to this particular album in quite a long time. I have to admit, if asked, I would not have said I held this album in very high regard. But I ended up playing the full album back and I now have to say it may be one of their more underrated achievements. Badlands in particular is a really good song and Landslide is no slouch either. The album certainly defied the glam metal trends that would show up later on Fly on the Wall and Who Made Who. I’m mentally lumping it in with Back in Black and For those about to rock now.
